He just never got the chances.

umm...that ball was in the air for 35 yards, it was wobbling and it wasnt thrown with much speed.  i decent safety would of been able to make a huge break on that and probably get an INT.

kansas wasn't exactly known for a stellar pass defense

matt can make a lot of great throws but his deep ball is not one of them.

umm...I'm not saying that Matt throws a perfect deep ball, but your analysis is flat out ignorant. Grothe hit the receiver, who had a 2 step advantage over the nearest defender, in stride. The video posted was a perfect pass...as were the ones to TJ in that game and against UCF. But go on, it's fun to rip on Matt in a post that isn't even related.

Back to the point, CM will only be a junior next year, it's got to be very rare for someone with his numbers up to this point to go out early and be a first round pick. Not saying he won't emerge, he has the tools, but I think that is a bit of a stretch.

but of the 42 INTs that matt has thrown how many of those have been on balls over 20 yards?  the majority of them.

im sure if ask any nfl scout about grothe and what he needs to work on they will say that he needs to work on his decision making and his arm strength.

  but grothe is a gamer and makes the plays with the game on the line and im glad he is our qb. he finds ways to make the play.

doesnt mean i think he is going to win the heisman or get drafted in the 1st round
