Watching Sunday, I get the impression they are on the edge of turning things around.  The Buc D is playing well there is no doubt about that.  They are still susceptible to the run up the middle but they seem to be improving.  With Joey J back in the line up and Mark Clayton playing like God's Gift to QBs, I could see a 8-8 finish for the Peuter Pirates.

With that being said/written, Brian Griese is playing well but I'm holding my breath for the melt down.  I have this feeling INTs are on the way like when he was in Denver.  I definitely would rather see Sims playing in this down yr 'cuz I feel he's the future of the franchise.  I also think Brad Johnson shoulda been benched sooner.  His number were horrendous and he seemed to be playing not to lose.

Unless Pittman's injury is minor, the Bucs are [reverb]DOOMED.[/reverb]

Sorry, but with both my football teams in a funk and no football next weekend, I'm not too happy on this Friday evening.

P.S. I work from Friday to Monday at night, so this is Friday. :)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
