VCU has more recent tourney success (well, for that matter actually has tourney success too) than USF. 

We are not an attractive landing spot, which makes getting Verdejo, Jones, Mercer, Gransberrry, Gilchrist that much more impressive.  Until we do something good on the court, Stan is selling a dream and nothing more.  We have a conference doormat in the toughest conference to get off the floor.

Also add to the laundry list of things making USF an unattractive basketball location the fact that we lack any basketball culture. Our fan support is anemic, but that also has to do with the product. It's the old catch 22.

Velco I was talking to a friend at work the other day and I failed to realize that the best recruit Stan has signed so far is Ajayi. That just won't get it done if this thing is ever going to turn around.

We are deperate for a high D-1 PG and Center. We are are on the right PG in Eric Bledsoe but we have to get him. How I don't know but those are the type of players we need to be able to compete at a high level. Signing players like Ajayi and telling the fans these guys are who we really wanted and will be good players for USF isn't getting the job done where it counts and that's recruiting.

We have to hope between Dumars nad Noriega that one of them can be like a Stephon Curry or a Chris Lofton for us the next couple of years.

After the season Stan needs to fire our terrible assistant coaches Samuels and Hansen and hire a couple of bulldog recruiters that can get us in on better players. A HC can't recruit by himself...he has to have a good staff but I guess just like with recruits, it is hard to attract good assistants to USF as well.

Agreed... we have been lucky to get some good transfers (same goes for mcullum... but at least he netted DoJo for us).
