To run this we need an elusive fast back. We dont have that this year with samuels sidelined. But help is on the way.

I think the offense should focus on running/executing a spread offense properly before gimmicks like this are added.

Hum...a runner that can throw...what's his name...oh yeah, Matt Grothe!

Teams that have running QBs don't need to run that offense.

well Florida runs it, I'd say they have a running qb. Not having a running qb isn't the only time to run it. It's a direct snap to a running back. If we had the blocking for this type of running then we could use it, but sadly we don't.

why does usf play real offensive football

usf is surrounded by the world's greatest talent and yet 12 years later usf is still using a gimmick offense

It wouldn't matter who took the snap...they would end up running a reverse with Grothe.

Or a bubble screen...

What is the gimmick here?  the running QB has been part of football for a number of teams for years now. The only gimmick we have is running any offense despite Gregory..

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
