Edsel arrived at UCONN in 1999 as UCONN didn't open up their football building/facility till 2006, which is 2 years AFTER USF had moved into their athletic facility back in 2004. (Prior to that, UCONN spent very little $$$$ on football).

Schiano, arrived at RU in 2001, a place where football was basically an afterthought for 130 plus years, just finished expanding by 3 fold their old football facility just a few years ago (under Schiano).

Pt being...Schiano and Edsel took jobs at programs with very little $$$$, very little support, and without much as far as facilities were concerned (similar to Leavitt when USF moved up to Div I-A in 2001).

Exactly.  and both schiano and edsel have achieve the same, if not more, as leavitt with their programs.  Jim Leavitt isnt the god that we've made him out to be.  We can keep using the same excuses over and over again.
