makes me realize how terrible our spread offense is.

Maybe we should spread the o-line out...

how the qb moves out of the pocket when blitz comes and hits wr consistently

this is embarrassing

I

when you see how the offense is suppose to work it shows how bad we are

That game wasWICKED AWESOME.

Eight seconds left on the clock, Harrell finds Crabtree, he escapes two tacklers and scores with ONE SECOND LEFT!

Play of the season.

And it came one play after Texas dropped an easy deflected pass that would have won them the game.

And one drive after Colt McCoy made an epic march to give his team the first lead of the game.

What an awesome, awesome game. I really hated to see either team lose.

too bad mccoy didnt appear for a half

Remember that Texas Tech has been building to this point for awhile.

Texas Tech has NOT won 10 games since 1976

Last 5 years

2007- 9-4

2006- 8-5

2005- 9-3

2004- 8-4

2003- 8-5

usf has been building this since 1997 and we still dont have a reliable wr,we can run the ball,we false start time after time

the ineptitude on offense never ends

And we were suppose to be excited because our oline slimmed down. Man we have smart people at the helm (Not talking about Leavitt).

O yeah they actualy run the right routes and dont stop running either

why arent you talking about leavitt

the buck should stop with him

I was actually going to make a "watching Texas Tech" post as well, so I will add my thoughts here...

Did anyone notice how the receivers all work back to Harrell when he is scrambling? Not just Crabtree, they all know how to work back to him and get some space so he has options. Yeah, they also make catches, but, IMHO, that is our issue. MG scrambles around and buys a lot of time only to find that half the time, he still doesn't have anyone to throw to.

If we corrected this issue, MG will be a serious Heisman contender next year. I really can't believe how big of a difference there is in our receivers and the receivers I was watching last night. Again, I am not expecting us to have our very on Crabtree, but the rest of our receivers should be at least as good as the 2-5 receivers there.

We get the point  :P.

They attack the entire field they hit the perimeter attack the middle when the linebackers cheat. They really make the defense feel besieged. They also roll Harrell out of the pocket and throw alot of quick passes to keep the defense honest and prevent them blitzing non stop. We also make a lot of plays on broken plays. In fact I would say that our biggest gains come off Matt creating after a broken play. Our recievers do a pretty good job getting open on the scrambles.

Sorry about that, wasn't going through, so I just hit "post" 2 or 3 (or 7) times.

Our receivers were getting open last year, doesn't see to be happening as much this year, and you're correct, mostly big plays, but sometimes, if they would work back to Matt, we'd be better off with a 7-yard gain. The first pick the other night is a prime example. Love was moving east west when he should have been coming back to MG...of course, I maintain that if TJ had caught the previous pass, MG probably would have just taken the sack there instead of forcing that one to try and get a first down.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
