Philmore played both forward positions for head coach Tony Martin last year. "We were able to play Isaiah both inside and outside last year," Martin said. "He was very effective at the 4 and 5 positions, but he can definitely step out and play on the perimeter. He is a good outside shooter and can handle and pass well. He is a good athlete. He is a finesse player, but he is also very capable and effective inside." Philmore enrolled at John Carroll as a sophomore after his military family moved to Maryland from Kansas. Philmore averaged 30 points per game as a freshman on his varsity team in Kansas. As a sophomore at John Carroll, Philmore averaged 16 points per game.Read entire article belowPhilmore expects to sign in November

Since both Augman and McMurphy treat basketball recruiting like the plague we never knew about Philmore visiting USF which acording to Rivals he did this month. Philmore has it down to 3 schools, USF, Towson, and UCF. A decision could come as early as this week. Could be a very good week for USF if they gain Clanton's and Philmore's verbal pledge

And Baylor for the other kid? We are competing against the dredges of college basketball. Man, this is so frustrating. Clanton, Philmore, and Crump are all high major prospects. All three of those guys were recruiting heavily but the fiinal schools are the ones they will go with. You might not know this but Baylor has recruited some of the best classes in the nation the last couple of years. Now we don't know how they have done it but they have. They are likely going to ranked in the top 25 before the season tips off.Philmore had offers from Marquette, Maimi, V.T. , Oklahoma St, Michigan, Auburn, K- State, Providence, St. Joseph’s, Temple, UMass, and Virgina.Crump had offers from Rutgers, Oregon St, GW, Depaul, W. Virgina.
Vega Posted November 2, 2008 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 5,982 Reputation: 109 Days Won: 2 Joined: 01/12/2008 Author Share Posted November 2, 2008 This nightmare of a recruiting season continues for Heath and the Bulls. Talented SF Isaiah Philmore will sign with Towson a school in his backyard that plays in CAA. Towson also picked up Erique Gumbs over the last week too. As it stands right now they have a better recruiting class then we do LOL!!!I had did some searching 2 or 3 weeks ago and I believe USF is something like 0 for 20 after today's news in prospects they have offered a scholarship to. It could be higher because with our lack of a good baskeball reporter we don't know all of the prospects the Bulls are recruiting with intent to sign.Well I guess the only thing left is for Clanton to go a head and put the dirt on top of USF basketball recruiting for the 2009 class by committing to S. Carolina or UCF which would really be an insult.I follow recruiting and have been for a little while now. I have never seen a program take the beating USF has this year in recruiting. We are in big trouble for the future unless we can secure a transfer and some JC players of D-1 quality.Link for Philmore to Towson
