All I ask for is an I-formation with an HB following RIchard Kelly up the gut behind Ryan Schmidt.... Run it 4 times successfully and you can then run play action off of it.....imagine that..... AMAZING!!!!! :

LOLAt any rate, the answer is a clear one: short slant routes. Wouldn't mind more short curl routes either.I'd like to see the offense resort to less "big play" mentality, or at least incorporate some sort of short possession plays into it. We have some good possession receivers in addition to our big play guys.

It was a fake WR screen pass to say TJ, and Mitchell faked a block on his side of the field and then bolted downfield and was wide open by 20 yards..........funny thing was we had the ball at the Syracuse 25 or so. He was so wide open. That play worked better than any play we've ever run, and I'm not sure if we ever ran it again. Not saying it will work against the Cuse again this year, but I'd break that baby out for another team inside the 30.

Sounds simple but we never do it.

I'd also like to see the occasional direct snap (out of the shotgun) to one of the speedsters... maybe Taylor? You need great acceleration to make that play work though.
