Who can we beat if not this team?We have won 5 (not 4, not 3, not 2, not 1) games so far this season. I am pretty darn confident that we can win a couple more. The team is pretty darn good. We will be fine.Despite Joe Maddon's math of 9 = 8, in bowl bids 5 does not equal 6. Five wins doesn't get you to a bowl. So this game is huge. As I said, if we can't beat Syracuse, the only other shot at win #6 would be Rutgers. I'm not saying we will or should lose to Syracuse, but if they beat us at home you can't like our chances on the road against Louisville, Cinci and WV. I believe this is a big game for the team's confidence. Win this and I like our chances against Louisville & Cinci. Lose, and I think we lose those next 2 road games. Yes but your math saying 5 doesn't equal to 6 implies this is the last game. If we don't beat 'Cuse, we still have a chance to win 5 other games. I find it hard to believe that if we lose saturday, we automatically go on a seven game losing streak. I am not saying we won't be deomoralized, but I find it hard not to get up for home games against Rutgers and senior night against UConn on national TV.
