Guest HowieP1
By GREG AUMANNPublished October 13, 2004The Bulls are in the mix for three players from the New York Gauchos, a Bronx club team that has produced NBA stars such as Rod Strickland, Stephon Marbury and Kenny Anderson. USF is recruiting point guard Levance Fields and two-guard Saiquan Stone, both at Xaverian Academy, as well as guard Jessie Sapp, a Gauchos player now at National Christian Academy in Fort Washington. The man escorting USF into key Big East neighborhoods is first-year assistant Julius Allen, a former Gauchos player who coached the team last year and has worked in the Baltimore area as a coach at Howard and Towson. To be able to recruit successfully in New York, a program must have someone on staff with strong local ties. For those who aren't familliar with these names, here is some ranking info on them from Rivals: RivalsHoops: 2005 New York top 10  RivalsHoops.com | last sorted on 8/2/2004 Top ten prospects in New York for 2005 basketball class. Guest HowieP1
big man? Here is one big man from NJ FRANK TCHUISI: From Projo: 7.26.2004 FRANK TCHUISI Frank Tchuisi is a 6' 10", 230 pound senior center from St. Benedict's High School in Newark, NJ who just completed two sessions, one at the the Eastern which followed his appearance at the ABCD Camp. The native of the Cameroons benefits from long arms and legs and excellent running ability. Frank moves tentatively and needs some game experience, but he has lots of good tools to help him grow basketball wise. Game experience may be hard to come by as St. Benedict's is not only loaded, but play better with a smaller lineup that can press more effectively. This season the Bees have 10 D1 players. Still, Frank is an intriguing prospect because of his size and raw tools. Last season, coming off the bench, Tchuisi averaged 10 points, eight rebounds and four blocks per game. He is drawing interest from Penn, Providence College, Richmond, Rutgers, Seton Hall and South Florida. He's already a BULL!  ;D 2004 Roster 2004  17U  Boys TEAM Coach: John Duffy    Asst.
