It takes way too long for the lights to turn back on.

The lights at the St. Pete Times Forum are the same as the ones at Ray Jay - it takes a second to turn off and back on, just a turn of the knob.

Just to be clear... yes they are the same type of lights (mercury vapor), however they do take a couple of minutes to come back on after being cut off.... The reason that the forum is able to "flip the switch" is that they have blinds on the lights that they can close... the lights are not turned off during the intermissions, they're simply shuttered. RJS would take about 5 minutes to ramp back up if they cut the lights.

I also agree though... TSA is never gonna do it...

Not to mention, but can you imagine 50,000+ in a stadium with no lights on?  Talk about madness.
