So, much to my dismay, I call my wife to make sure that my friends wedding wont interfere with any games (someone mentioned weddings in another thread) and find out that that weekend USF plays Pitt on a Thursday.

Great, right? Wrong! Cause my wife and I bought concert tickets months ago for that Thursday!

So, my question is.... do you know how I can get score updates texted to me?

A more appropriate question is: how can you devise a way to literally be two places at once?

Or, you can simply receive updates about whats going on at the concert and go to the game. That seems more appropriate as well.

Get internet on your phone and go to espn.com to get score updates.

I know I know... but we got these tickets as sort of a birthday present for me ... (live in nyc so wasnt going to the game anyway)

Trust me it could be worst. I am missing Pitt, Cuse, Rutgers, best friend's wedding, and the Rays's playoff run 'cause my sister wanted for us to go to France to learn the language for two months. At least I'm getting my slingbox next week, but jeez, worst time of the year to travel.

Best idea - record the game, ignore the updates, and enjoy it like it was live, except no commercials.

Maybe I'll do that... I mean, I'd hate to ruin the concert if the game is going sour.

I mean, learning immersive French and while living there will definitely have many benefits... but during the season? Tough break =(

But I've heard nothing but good things about sling box, was thinking of getting one so I could get catch 47 up here from my friends TV. Plus, Cablevision in NY doesnt have ESPNU and I refuse to pay Verizon countless antiquated phone taxes...

For that to work, you must NOT wear any USF gear, answer your phone, read any texts, go online (u might accidentally click on espn), listen to the radio, or have any sort of communication w the outside world. It can be done, but when you mess up, it sucks.
