One correction to Brett's story "Bulls off to Promising Start", he writes, "In their opener, the Bulls (1-0) did hat natinoally ranked teams - not named Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh - are supposed to against inferior opponents: win and give the backups a lot of playing time".  I'm not sure that their opponents were inferior.  It just proves how far preseason rankings and speculation can be from reality.  On paper, Pitt recruited top athletes.  In reality, Wannstadt can't do a thing with them.

We still write I-AA. The name change is confusing (and requires you to write out the new version on first reference, taking up a ton of space high up in a story) and there wasn't anything wrong with the old name ...

So it's either:

USF beat I-AA's Tennessee Martin 56-7.

or

USF beat FCS (Football Championship Series, formerly Division I-AA) Tennessee-Martin 56-7.

I think the new naming is lame... it'll always be IA and IAA in my eyes.
