They need a bat and if they don't get one, this team is gonna fade away.  The average isn't bad but they waste so many good opportunities.  Even last night, they scored 4 but left 13 guys on base!  Nady would be a perfect fit.  What are they waiting for?

miller was solid for the first part of the season but his last 3 apperances have been awful.

i would love to see the rays make a move for Jason Bay.

I don't trust Miller.  Gut feeling.

I agree with you guys as far as making a move.  They need to get another bat in their lineup.  If I had my choice, I would go after Bay first then Nady.  Nadys hitting for a good average this year, but Bay will get you anywhere from 25 to 35 homeruns a season.  Blake only if nothing else works.

They'd have to give up more for Bay.  Plus, bay would be a rent a player and they could probably sign nady long term.  Texiera is also in the rumors, could be a switch hitting DH.  I'd say trade any minor leaguer except price.

Yeah, I've heard Texiera too.  That seems to good to be true.

texiera would not be good.  for one...he would only be a 2 month rental and secondly, the braves would want way too much for a player that we would only use as a DH.

Didn't know his contract info off the top of my head.  It would be nice if we could get him and keep him.  Guess that won't happen though.

he will end up being the highest paid 1st baseman in baseball this off-season.  we are already paying a boatload (for the rays atleast) for our own strikeout prone 1st baseman.  we dont need another one.
