ITS OVER! AL wins again, in 15.

Bases load sac fly... very close play at the plate with Morneau running.

Michael Young the hero.

Kaz gets out only throwing 14 pitches for the win.

Terry Francona said if the game made it a couple more innings JD Drew would have been pitching after kazmir.

big boy Navarro trying to take an extra base and getting thrown out at home, with 0 outs...

I believe there was 1 out and isn't it the third base coach's call on that? ....... Plus, he was safe.

Safe?  he was out by 3 steps.

You can't be talking about the play at the plate ..... It was a bang bang play the ump missed ..... and why didn't the third base coach stop him?

Don't screw with Navi, man ..........  ::)

i didn't see any error in the call.  The catcher had the ball and turned and Navarro was still 2 paces from the plate.  It was a quick developing play, but he was out by a good margin.  Heck, even the plate was blocked by Martin.  Navarro couldn't even touch the plate if it had a bacon triple cheeseburger on it.

here is the play

from the overhead view... he is out by a mile... from the center field view... it looks much closer, but is to shallow an angle to see the plate at all.

but he was certainly out... ump made the absolute right call.

You're right he was further away than I thought and he SHOULD have been out but look at ALL those replays and you'll see that the catcher's glove didn't touch him until he crossed the plate .... his leg got under the tag.

He might have slid under the tag but on a close call like that usually if the ball beats the runner he will be called out.
