agreed..  (there is a chance he slid under the tag... but i can't verify that, and the ball was easily there first).

That same scenario occured on a steal of 2nd where the runner was called out and there was absolutely no tag made.  The ball was there first, but the tag was a swipe in the air with no contact with the runner.  I forget who the runner was...  maybe Milton Bradley.

i remember now.. Ian kinsler was the base stealer... and right after that, the AL had a single that would have scored him.  I think that was the 9th inning too.

He might have slid under the tag but on a close call like that usually if the ball beats the runner he will be called out. 

Exactly .... which is why I couldn't blame the ump. You've got to reallyslow it down considerably to see it .... The catcher made a helluva play.

Does anyone else think the yankee fans are being a little classless with their anti-boston chants. I mean its an all-star game. I would understand it if it were a playoff game between the sox and yankees.
