No apparently he was pretty good in baseball from what I heard ,he was good enough in high school for the angels to take him in the 4th round. Then he went to college and got drafted by them in the 27th or so round. This draft by the reds was pointless and obviously they didn't need anymore picks and decided to take a long shot at him. If he ended up choosing baseball he would work out and sign a free agent deal similar to hocheaver and sign for top 10 round money.

i would for him to play in cincy cause hes not playing qb in the nfl

He must of really loved football over baseball to pass up a 4th round offer. Usually those signing bonuses are pretty substantial, but i guess not as much 4 yrs ago as they are today. Still think he had a better shot at pro baseball than football.

well then

He still has a slight chance of goign to the NFL.  He probably thought he could make it to the NFL if he turned it down.  I'm sure he could go higher in the baseball draft if he said that's what he wanted to do.
