Tevin Drake - Sophomore RB at Nature Coast Tech. 5-11 187 lbs 4.5 40. Very strong, smart runner.

Played in 6 games as a Freshman gaining 857 yards and 11 TD's, 8.2 ypc.

Ran for 1,527 yards and 22 TD's (8.1 ypc) as a Sophomore this season running over the likes of Gator commit Lerentee McCray and FAU commit Yourhigness Morgan among many others. He also had a great game vs North Marion in the playoffs. Tevin has amazing potential. Georgia recently stopped by to visit. USF needs to start picking up players like this that live within 45 minutes of campus. Here are his sophomore highlights.

Leavitt's done a nice job recruiting talent, why does he need to step up?  Considering this guy is 2 years from signing anywhere, I think we'll be OK.

Well, I said step up, not step it up.. Lol, but very true CJL does an amazing job. Maybe it is just my bias. I believe this kid will be amazing by his Senior year. And I love USF's program . So naturally I would want to see a great player in this uniform. And I do not think we will be OK Joe- I believe we will be in GREAT shape regardless!  ;)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
