Cambridge Who's Who Names Charles D. Spielberger, Ph.D. Professional Of The Year In Psychological Assessment

Main Category: Psychology / Psychiatry

Article Date: 17 Jan 2008 - 2:00 PST

Charles D. Spielberger, distinguished research professor at the University of South Florida, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in psychological assessment. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership and service.

Spielberger has an impressive background in psychology. As a distinguished research professor at the University of South Florida, he is responsible for psychological assessment and clinical and health psychology.

Spielberger received his Ph.D., his master of arts in psychology, and his bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Iowa. Additionally, he is a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Council of Psychologists, and serves as the president of the Stress and Anxiety Research Society and the International Association of Applied Psychology.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
