Law to the board of trustees at the University of South Florida. Law, president and chief executive officer of Fowler White Boggs Banker PA in Tampa, succeeds Richard Beard III. Her term ends Jan. 6, 2013. In June 2006, Law was named chair of the 13-member board of trustees. Her term as chair was for two years and doesn't expire until June 30. "Under my term as chair, we have updated our strategic plan for the next five years, and it is my focus to make sure that we pursue that with diligence," Law said. USF is working to become eligible for inclusion among the Association of American Universities within the next five years, she said. The 107-year-old organization focuses on issues that are important to research-intensive universities such as funding, policy and curricula. To become eligible, it means USF must attain a level of excellence in a number of different educational criteria, Law said. "We are pursuing each of those from research to world class faculty to exceptional students," she said. "We are looking at all those things, and we want USF to be known for excellence." http://tampabay.bizjournals.com/tampabay/stories/2007/12/31/daily46.html
