For the last week WVU has been searching for his successor. It looks like the search may be over. A source close to the WVU Alumni Association has told 12 News the university is close to naming Clarksburg native Jimbo Fisher its new head football coach. According to a story in this morning's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Fisher has climbed to the top of WVU's list of candidates. Fisher spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Florida State, and had recently been named Bobby Bowden's successor in waiting. Before that he was the offensive coordinator at LSU from 2000-2006, winning a national title in 2003. An announcment could come as early as this evening. 12 News will update you as soon as more information becomes available. http://www.modavox.com/boombox/PlayerSetup/Players/WOWKTVPlayer.aspx?FileId=60454_wowkhttp://wowktv.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=32873

WVU or FSU? at WVU your only following Rich Rod and have to continue the building process that he started there. at FSU you have to follow an hall of fame coach, one who has some part of the stadium or field named after him and a statue outside the stadium, but get to rebuild a traditional florida power. really a tough choice with a lot of postives and negatives for each school. Either one would ensure a win for us every year!!!

I dont want FSU even thinking about going after Leavitt. Let FSU have Fisher. WVU should get Bowden in my opinion.
