He will be in Sarasota on December 11th for the annual Bradenton-Sarasota P.A.L. Bowl dinner.

David Fonua played in this game and I'm sure there are other other former/current Bulls.

There should also be plenty of college recruiters as this game pits Manatee County H.S. seniors against Sarasota seniors on December 21st.

SARASOTA --

He has a date with Oregon in the sunny Southwest on New Year's Eve, but first South Florida coach Jim Leavitt has a more local destination in mind.

Leavitt, whose Bulls will face Oregon in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, on Dec. 31, will be the keynote speaker for the 2007 Brad Price Memorial PAL Bowl Banquet.

The event is Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 4480 Fruitville Road in Sarasota.

The banquet leads up to the PAL Bowl, which pits high school senior all-stars from Manatee County against Sarasota County, on Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Booker High. Manatee High coach Joe Kinnan coaches the Manatee squad, while Booker's Fred Gilmore leads Sarasota. This is the 16th annual meeting, with Sarasota County leading the series 8-7.
