Saturday's game at Pitt was a very good one for MG.  He protected the ball very well for the majority of the game.  Here is the breakdown of his incompletes:

2 Thrown away to avoid a sack

1 Dropped ball by Aston Samuels on a WR screen

1 Dropped ball by Carlton Mitchell on a hook route

1 Dropped by Edwards (I believe)

and 1 thrown into coverage in the EndZone and batted away (by far his worst throw of the day)

We are a tough team to beat when MG controls the offense and the ball.  Now we just need him to tuck it away a little better when the line caves in.

I have noticed since the Syracuse game, Grothe has been throwing the football away instead of trying to force the ball into tight coverage or taking a sack, shows maturation on Grothe's part.

Absolutely Grothe has shown improvement and maturity in the last 3 weeks.  It's refreshing to see him not try to do it all.  His decision making really looks like it's improving.

Also, it helps that the coaches have stopped piling it all on his shoulders.  I don't care if you have Grothe, Tebow or even Jesus Christ is in the backfield, a good defense can always stop a one man show.

Are you trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a running lane? ;)

JC would be tough to defend..........and I'm not talking about Jimmy Clausen.

Can he play full back? We need someone to open a hole for Ford. My next choice is Moses, I hear he can part a lane like nobody's business.

Dropped passes have accounted for at least 5-7% of his total incompletes.

If not more...
