Heated arguement on Tim Tebow thread on ESPN.com between USF and UF fans

Anyone that would pick Grothe over Tebow is flat out stupid!

One thing that you wont see Tebow doing is run an 80 yard TD run like Grothe did against Pitt yesterday. If I had to pick between Grothe and Tebow, I would have to go with Grothe base on what he brings to the team. Tebow's job is easier since he is surrounded by all that talent. Put Tebow on USF's team this season, and I can see USF losing 4 or 5 games with him at QB. He just does not have it on his passes when he is being rushed. On the other hand, Grothe is the master at throwing on the run. In fact, I think Grothe passes better when he is on the run.

First, let it be known that I hate Tebow and where I am, we call him Tback Tebow.  That being said, that statement above could be the most ignorant thing I have read on these boards in a long time.  There is not comparison between Grothe and Tebow, sorry to say that.  Tebow can make all the throws, he runs like a fullback with 4.5 speed.  Sorry there Daly, but Tebow can outrun Grothe and definately out pass him.  Tebow could win three Heismans if he stays, most likely two.  Grothe will not win one national award on the QB level or national player of the year.  Tebow will be a sure first round pick, possibly the first player picked, Grothe will be serving drinks at a bar in Lakeland in two years.
