This per both Greg and Brett's blogs.

The award is for college football's player of the year.  Whether he wins the award or not, this is another feather in the cap of a sophomore playmaker.  Congrats Big George!

Quite an accomplishment for a Sophomore Defensive End.  Before the season, nobody knew who he was except for a few Big East schools.  Now, anybody who covers college football better know who he is or they are not doing their job.

I didn't even know who he was till the fall practice was going on.
