BCS Rankings: USF #27

Recommended Posts

Based on the current projections, I projected what the final standings could look like without any really big upsets:

Bear in mind, when Kansas & Missouri lose, they won't drop very far...

Jim's Projected BCS Standings (Dec 2., 2007)

Rank Team

1 LSU - National Championship Game

2 Oregon - National Championship Game

3 Oklahoma - Fiesta Bowl

4 West Virginia - Orange Bowl

5 Ohio State - Rose Bowl

6 Arizona State - Rose Bowl

7 Georgia - Sugar Bowl

8 Virginia Tech - Orange Bowl

9 Kansas

10 Missouri - Sugar Bowl

11 Florida

12 Texas

13 Hawaii - Fiesta Bowl

14 Illinois

15 Wisconsin

16 South Florida

17 Auburn

18 BYU

19 USC

20 Air Force

Under this scenario, Hawaii won't get an automatic bid, but will get in by default (only two teams from any conference can be selected, and you have to be in the Top 14 to be selected)...

So, USF would need a couple of upsets to break into the Top 14, but even that probably wouldn't get USF a BCS game.

Oh, and USF could jump Illinois and Wisconsin as they finish this week and USF has one more game.

Jim

Oklahoma BEAT Missouri is their only loss. Mizzou will probably beat Kansas and rematch vs OU in B12 championship game.

Ah. You're right - I missed that (will correct my post).  Although I think Kansas will win against Missouri.

Well we can start correcting that by blasting Coach K's cards on saturday. He is one of the voters

doesn't Kansas have to play a real team to be ranked in the top 5?  I hope Missouri beats the crap out of them... but it's not like Missouri has done anything either.

I would like to see Kansas win the national title.  Be great to have champions at Ray Jay next year.

this is a distant possibility - maybe odds are 1/4 this will/could happen.  they are playing awesome!
