USFDan Posted October 21, 2007 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 505 Reputation: 13 Days Won: 0 Joined: 12/24/2001 Share Posted October 21, 2007 There is only one 2 loss team ahead of us and that is UF. There are other one loss teams behind us such as UVa and Missouri. The AP still has an defeated Big 12 team behind us in Kansas. If we win out, and we should be favored to do so, we at least tie for the Big East title and we will get a BCS game (auto bid or at-large). If there were a bunch of 2 loss teams ahead of us I would feel slighted, but there aren't and we still control our destiny. I don't think there are haters, I think there are bunch of teams that can be agrued to be either ahead or behind us. Everyone has an opinion. It will all shake out at the end of the year anyway. If you told me at the beginning of the season we would be 6-1 and #12 I would be very excited. You know what I am still very excited.

Now, coaches are spouting off untrue stuff like Saban just to discredit the story of the USF program. I know one thing though, if Leavitt ever does leave USF for some reason than there will be a lot of coaches lining up to take the USF job. USF does not have to worry about other coaches being interested in the job because they see that Leavitt has put in the hard work and built this program into a power. We need to keep winning and stay consistantly in the top 25... thats something that even the "traditional powers" dont always do (i.e. fsu/miami/notre dame/etc this year)better to have a deep track record than be a flash in the pan. i am not saying that usf is a flash in the pan, but we need more depth of record and more consistancy on and off the field
