The guy is a GREAT football player.

He doesn't fumble.

He is great in protection.

He runs hard.

He doesn't miss assignments.

What else can you ask for?

I agree to an extent, he isn't a put the team on his back and carry them kind of guy, but he is adequate for the job.

As for fumbles, he did have one last week. I think a lot of people thought that it was Taylor, but I am pretty sure it was Williams.

He seems like a good kid though, and he plays as hard as anyone. He has looked 10x better this year than last year.

Williams has a strong work ethic, both on the field and in practice.  The kid has earned his spot in our lineup, and is justifying it with his TWO TOUCHDOWNS so far in this game.

I am all for Ben Williams but I like him served up with a side of Ford.

I agree...  But I just think that Williams is the guy Gregory turns to when he gets worried.  Kinda like your safety valve.

Fumble last week and this for Williams.  Dude is just too small not to get beat up if overused.

Yeah, I think Williams can still play. That might have been a game breaker.

I didn't say he can't play.  I still think he shouldn't carry the bulk of the load at RB.

3 TDs, 161 yards, over 8 yards per touch.  Yeah, I agree with flsportsfan83, Williams shouldn't be in I-A ball...

:ROFLMAO

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
