I'm not a fan of it.  It's just kinda jammed in there for some reason.

If I cared at all about it, I would watch ESPN deportes.

Yeah, it seems kind of forced. If you are going to talk about a soccer game then just talk about it, no need to say "And here is an update from ESPN Deportes, one of our 20 spin-off stations."

agreed... its not like they are talking in spanish anyway... so whats the point?

Maybe its just some type of productive ad for people that didnt' know ESPN deportes exists?

I think they are advertising ESPN Desportes.

I agree though, if you're going to mention soccer just mention it. For crying out loud they only mention soccer for a minute or two... it takes longer to introduce the Desportes announcer than what they actually have to say.
