The Bulls, 7-1-1 (2-1-1), jumped five spots in the Soccer America poll to sit at No. 20 following a 1-1 tie at Pittsburgh on Friday and the 1-0 victory over the Mountaineers on Sunday. Both games went into double overtime. The Soccer America ranking is the highest USF has appeared in the poll this year. College Soccer News released its weekly rankings on Monday as well, with USF landing at No. 11, moving up one spot from No. 12 last week. The men’s soccer team has been as high as 10th in the CSN poll, garnering the ranking after the team’s biggest offensive output of the year, a 6-1 victory at home over American University on Sept. 15. Two other polls, the NSCAA/adidas and Soccer Times, will release their weekly rankings on Tuesday. The Bulls have appeared on all four polls since Sept. 10, following their 4-0-0 start. USF continues its four-match road trip next Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. when it faces off against Louisville at Cardinal Park. The match will be the fifth in a row against BIG EAST foes and the first against a Red Division opponent. The Bulls currently sit in second place in the Red Division, just two points behind Villanova. The team will return to Tampa to face VU on Fri., Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets to all USF home matches are $5 for adults, $3 for youth 16-and-under and $2 for groups of 10 or more.
