how many of you guys have actually met barry bonds or personally know him?  we all know the media has created the monster that is barry bonds.  i have read countless articles where former teammates, managers, opponets come to barry's defense when people attack his personality.  he is just a guy who wants to play baseball and screw the media.  he doesnt play their game, in part for what he witnessed growing up and how the media treated his dad, willie mays, and other black players.

so say what you want about bonds but cant judge a book by its cover...and surely cant judge someone's charcter by what you read in a magazine.

as for the steriod thing, its a part of baseball in the 90s.  barry was not the only one doing something.  you think a rod never did it?  ever?  who knows?  but he is the media darling.  same with the pitchers.  did they do something?  all the muscle in the word doesnt help hand eye coordination or help you stay back on a 84 mph change up after you just saw a 96 mph fastball and keep your weight balanced enough to drive it out of the park everytime you see a pitch in your zone.

Ahhh thank goodness another person not brainwashed by the media on Bonds.  I was going defend bonds too but didnt want to be called gay for agreeing with smazza by LGClass  :.  

with or without steroids barry bonds is by far the most feared and greatest hitter of all time.  I mean who else ever got intentionally walked with the bases loaded?  I cant wait for him to break that record.
