is walked 3 times again tonight

at 40 years old MLB teams are terrified to pitch to bonds why

he would probably hit .425 and hit 85 homers if they pitched too him

On this VG, you are definitely wrong. There are about a half dozen players you can argue for best hitter ever (Bonds, Williams, Ruth, Mays, etc..) but there is no doubt that during his era of play, no player has been more feared than Bonds. I believe his back to back record breaking seasons in walks pretty much prove that, and considering he might just set a third this year, solidifies that point even more.

The most feared hitter of his era, MAYBE.  That's about the most subjective thing I ever heard.

Williams was still a better hitter.  Pitchers just nutted up back then and pitched to batters instead of walking them all the time.

Personally, I wish Bonds got to hit instead of walk.

i am not wrong... i am not arguing he isn't feared, i'm arguing he wouldn't hit 85 homers or .425... that is such BS... if he would do that, how come he hasn't in his "elustrious, roid filled career"???

since he hit 70 homers, people decided its a waste of time to risk pitching to him... so yes he is feared... but he would never hit 85, never hit .425, and he is not the greatest hitter ever... period.

not in awe, since i think he is a cheat...

best hitter i ever watched... that is a tough one...

Certainly not Big Mac, Sosa, or Bonds, although at least Mac admitted to using Andro which WAS legal at the time.  Bonds and Sosa won't admit since it is federally illegal if not prescribed.

Tough to say who the best hitter i've watched is... Jim Rice was the most feared hitter of the early 80's, his #'s were always higher then most peoples, but that was an era with very deflated stats all around.

Pete Rose was probably the best hitter i ever saw, but i wouldn't care how wins he had as a coach... he is a stain on the game.

Paul Molitor was also **** impressive... but neither of those two were power hitters, they just got lots of hits
