We seem to have some of the most appealing potential for a head coach on this list

You are kidding right? We're a severely underfunded team in a league of basketball powerhouses. Take those Green and Gold Glasses off.

Utah, New Mexico, and Minnesota have great fanbases and basketball tradition, along with millions of dollars being thrown into the programs by their universities. Not to mention they aren't in leagues where 10 teams live and die by basketball.

The USF job is decent, no where as great as some on this board have tried to make it.

^^^ he said some.

And per DW: "Our expectations in this program are that we can compete night in, night out in the Big East. We expect to compete night in, night out and we need to make the investment and the commitment. --AD Doug Woolard."

Start putting on the glasses... things are about to change at USF.

^^^ I hope you're right. Those are some strong statements by an AD.

Woolard seems to be taking responsibility for the bb program, which is a great thing.

Looks like we can hold him accoutable for the next two seasons without violating Bulliever's pledge...Sweet.

It will be tough in the Big East, my honest expectations for this program in 4-5 years is to be competing for an NCAA bid . However, I don't believe that USF in the next 10 years will be a consistent winner in basketball, the BE is just too hard. Look at UConn and Cuse; Both teams have won National Championships the last 5 years and they are both out of the tourny.

It's just really freaking tough.
