what are the "voodoo" plays?? must have missed that one

The stupid trick plays that Rod used to like to use and we couldn't execute.

Weren't those Voodoo plays that helped beat UL in 2005?

Well, good point BBB, but maybe I am biased.  I seem to remember better the times they failed.  We used them way too much.  Which game was it where the wr gained five yards and then pitched the ball back to the running back (who sloppily missed it and we lost all we gained).  We looked like the Keystone Cops.

Also, I don't consider the reverse where Amarri comes around to be VOODOO.  Many teams do that.

So those weren't Voodoo plays we DID execute against Louisville...?

;D I guess we don't call them VOODOO when they actually work...

I'm not really sure which plays were Voodoo but most offensive woes we had in the past was from execution not from selection .... The UConn game may have been both.   ;)

That play was in the Syracuse game when we moved the ball right down the field and then got tricky instead of just staying within ourselves. Rod Smith did that kind of stuff on more than one occassion and killed long drives.

That play happened in the Syracuse game after a long drive. Rod Smith did trick plays many times in that same situation, and they would kill our momentum. Granted they did work sometimes. Usually you do trick plays to change momentum, it always frustrated me that he would call those plays after we had a 8-10 play drive going, and gut us in trouble. Remember the Amarri Jackson miracle ply against Cincinnati in '05 when he picked up a dropped reverse and then ran side to side and somehow scored a touchdown. We were in control of that game, but it was not in hand. The result was good but the risk of losing momentum was greater IMO.
