And he(Gregory) had his thumb surgery on the 3rd and all went well, will be 100% for Spring and sure he'll get lots of reps.

One thing to remember with Gregory is that after three games, he was not playing on purpose with the plan to take a medical redshirt. He would have played otherwise. Instead, he's now in the same class as Grothe, with three years of eligibility remaining, providing he gets the redshirt from the NCAA.

That makes sense.  I really thought he was the better of the second team QB's.  He seems to have a lot of talent and can contribute.

I hope Gregory IS good enough to be the backup.  Isn't the guy transferring from Navy a QB too?  Should allow Voss to redshirt and any disappointment from not getting Marve will be lessened since the 3 backups to Grothe should do well (assuming Carlton ever gets another shot at QB...he can at least do WR passes like Amarri, the former QB for Mike Ford apparently).

All indications are that Gregory will be fine @ #2, expecting to see a lot of him during the Spring as we have a solid #1.

Don't expect the Navy QB to be in the QB rotation.

Severino will have been here for 5 years and would be the #3.

RS'ing Voss and Ca. Hill & Denson would be "Emergency" QB's ... but if we get to that point, sure we would look at Voss' progress. But I would put Grothe on crutches out there first
