Would not be good to lose BOTH corners  :P

usf needs to upgrade at both corners in any event(if usf wants to compete for a big east title in next 4 years)

It's already done . . . but it still isn't good to lose 2 corners one year ahead of schedule. And we are competing for the Big East Title every year now.

Breaking in a new corner will receive a big help from our Front Seven.

They'll stay. Both had weak bowl games. That speaks volumes to the scouts.

They will play on Sundays but only after another year with Wally.

Plus, they'll want to play on a top 15 team (10-2 or better) next year and go to a big bowl.

Mel Kiper Jr doesnt even have Jenkins listed as a top 6 junior CB.  Add that in with a CB being a decently deep position this year just with the seniors i think he should stay.

Kipers CB rankings as of 12/20

Juniors

1. Zack Bowman, Nebraska (injured)

2. Eric Wright, UNLV

3. Darrelle Revis, Pittsburgh

4. Antoine Cason, Arizona

5. DeJuan Tribble, Boston College

5a. Terrell Thomas, USC

5b. Dwight Lowery, San Jose State

Seniors

1. Leon Hall, Michigan

2. Marcus McCauley, Fresno State

3. Daymeion Hughes, California

4. Tanard Jackson, Syracuse

5. Aaron Ross, Texas

Yeah....I can't imagine he'd be any higher than a 4th rounder right now......MAYBE 3rd round (maybe).

I think one more good year will help him a lot.

I dont know how to say it, but Mike is gone.  His mind has been made up for some time now.  He will go to the combine and run a tremendous time which will help his status more then anything.

Let's hope in the end he decides to stay the extra year.  As I said in another thread, having that diploma is at the very least protection against not making it in the NFL.  When Mike finishes up his college career, I would hope that he would get picked in the first or second round.  I don't at this point in time see him going on the first day.

Mike, if you read this board, think long and hard before you make a decision that might in the end be harmful for you.

Good luck either way.

If he goes, good luck to him.  He may be giving up the chance at a better pay day next year though.

Well said, Mama Bull.

His(Jenkins) time will be close to a sub 4.4 and with his size  :o Teams sometimes take their "risks" with that type of God given talent.

Williams at 5' 10" would really benefit with another year of production.

Agree that another year would also help Jenkins to a possible 1st or 2nd Round Pick ... I don't know his situation. His only risk is injury, and that's a big risk when you are talking about possibly getting a 3 year deal worth $250K plus annually. It's always a gamble in life.
