Isn't it so they can "see the logo better" ?? That's what I believe I heard, could be wrong?

If I remember correctly, it was the green was so dark it looked black anyway, so they just made it black.  Maybe the decals are cheaper that way?   :-/

That was the beauty of the green.  They were certainly dark enough that from far away, the logo stood out beautifully.  And yet, from closer up, you could tell they were our lovely USF green!

Why, why, why, why, why, etc., etc........

Ahhhhh....I can tell that this has been a hot topic before.  I just noticed while in B'ham and asked my buddies...WTF?  Doesn't seem to make any sense to me whatsoever.  Now I can't look at a picture or game footage without noticing.  It's driving me nuts!!!

Shoop and I are probably the two biggest "bellyachers" on this travesty.  And it IS a travesty.  The helmets looked sweet with the green mask & decal.  Now, it looks like we're UCF wannabe's.

Is black one of our colors?  'Nuff said.

i agree with you two but i dont bellyache as much about it

Are you citing the "Optional Secondary Color Palette" on page 15?  If so, by that logic could we then include the blue, purple, and red on the helmet as well?

Shh!  Don't say that out loud!!  Even though I wish we didn't have the black, I could live with it.  However, as a trim color only.  I still think our logo should be green.

(this one was done after the UCF game. i used pics linked from the MikeG galleries, and they no longer show up, so that will explain the big blank areas. But if you want to go back and check the game pics from that game, it might make more sense to you. Basically comparing UCF's gold to USF's gold. One correct and consistent, one not.)
