Oklahoma is too far away. Texas is an interesting school that I haven't heard mentioned in the Marve Sweepstakes. I think the Longhorns may also be too far away from home for Marve.

Not to mention they also have a QB that will be there for a few more years.

Will not have a top 25 class unless we pick up 4-4star guys and about 10 more 3stars.  Not going to happen.  We will be hard pressed to break the top 40.  I think our class is looking good but rankings do not bear that out.

I hope I am wrong also.  However, given the makeup of the top 25 as it stands now, USF would need to close huge.  Unless there are a plethora of 4-star recruits who we secretly have commitments from, the difference between where we are and top 25 is too great to be made up by just landing Mike Ford and Robert Marve.  Having said all that, I think our class is shaping up nicely.

usf should care about stars and should be going after them

i am sure leavitt could find 5 star guys that could usf's puzzle

It isn't important to go after stars... heck... any good players we get end up losing stars by going with us...

it just doesn't matter.

If we land some that recruitniks label 5 star or 4 start...awesome... but the pieces of the puzzle is more important than the rankings.

I'd rather be top 25 and have a top 50 recruiting class than top 25 recruiting class and be top 50.

Over time, more and more big names will go with us, but Leavitt will still always look for the pieces to his puzzle, not a biased scouting service's rankings.

yea ranking recruiting classes dont do you much.

sure, its pretty easy to tell the top 10 classes but after that there is way too much speculation.
