Team with mental toughness that simply needs more talent to win big in the future: Rutgers. Runners-up: South Florida, Indiana, and Maryland.

Also, a quick preview of the bowl: :-?

19. Papajohns.com Bowl East Carolina vs. South Florida  December 23, 2006, ESPN2

This will be a much better game than you think. East Carolina won five of its last six games only dropping a tight 18-17 battle to Rice while South Florida is still buzzing after shocking West Virginia to close out with a strong eight-win season. Still the unknown and disrespected program in the Big East mix, the Bulls will try to win its first bowl game ever.

Stars of the show: 1) South Florida QB Matt Grothe, 2) East Carolina QB James Pinkney, 3) South Florida LB Stephen Moffett

The knee jerk, off-the-cuff, initial prediction: South Florida 23 ... East Carolina 10

Who is Stephen Moffett?  He must play for some small fry program.  Classic CFN.  Attempting to diss uneducated fans with uneducated misnomers and name mixups.  At least CFN has The Sporting News around to make them look good.

Normal

You guys don't know about Stephen Moffett?

He a Linebacker Monster!

You see they took Ben and Stephen and fused them together.  I think USF is going to make clones of Proto type I of Stephen Moffett and sell them to other programs.  It was a joint project between biomedical engineering, medicine, and the athletics department.

Yeah, but that one's retarded.  It went wrong and he became a lackluster quarterback.

Talk about summarizing USF in a nutshell.  I still can't see how Rutgers is ahead of us in this category.  For those of you that don't realize Schiano has been recruiting like crazy for years.  Brian Leonard was a 4 star FB out of HS that spurned Cuse, and ND for Rutgers.  Ray Rice, Zuttah, Kenny Britt, Will Beckford, Eric Foster, Willie Foster....

In the past four years Rutgers has done a very fine job of landing many quality top notch athletes.  I'd venture to say, given we're 1 and 1 v. Rutgers, with a 2 point loss at home and mauling them on the road, that USF has done far more with less talent then Rutgers.

Given that we're 1-1 with Louisville and WVU says the same thing.

Flip side is we're 1-1 with Cincy and UConn.
