Toronto's been out of play ever since their folks found a map and saw how far away USF is. These bowls have to average 25,000 fans over their first few years to remain certified, and USF's fans, asked to travel that far away, are not a recipe for big crowds. The Toronto folks made it clear they wanted a Big East team whose fans could drive to the game. I think they would have preferred Pittsburgh -- just a stronger following -- but Wannstedt lost his last five.

I'm curious to see how many of the five Big East bowl teams will be favored. You have to figure Rutgers and West Virginia, both recently removed from the top 10, will be in good positions for their bowls, and USF and Cincinnati likely will be favored against teams from lesser conferences. Just depends on who Louisville matches up with ...

wow, this is really breaking news! I gotta cancel my hotel reservation in Toronto now.  I still have one in Jacksonville, and one in Houston just in case.  Can't wait to find out...

CUSA life is great thanks. I like the way BE life is treating you guys though! To think that just two years ago you were a mid major program, and now look at you. All Grown up! You were the 5th team selected for a bowl out of the Big East! You racked up an 8-4 record against national powerhouses like WVU and McNeese St.! I heard the goveror of florida changed the state animal to the Bull! And All 30 people in america outside western florida who have heard of you before are singing your praises. I want to be like USF when i grow up
