2 wins in 2 years against a top 10 opponent

and one on the road...

now just to win tht bowl game :)

No way.  Not a fluke.

Although that run at the Big East title last year will be hard to duplicate down the road, given that the conference is so much deeper than anyone could have anticipated.  Six-and-a-half teams that could beat you on any given day.

This game was won by coaches and players being better!

Big East will have this one(rematch) as a high priority and just very well on ESPN's pre-season schedule.

Well, USF still has a problem with consistency...

The Cincinnati and Louisville games this year... the West Virginia and Pittsburgh games last year...

It certainly has the talent... and the coaching... to compete with just about anyone in the country.  Next year will go a long way to measure where USF really is - especially the games in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

We'll be able to tell if it's a fluke by seeing if we can compete with Rice in a bowl game............  :'(

I fell like USF is becoming the NC State of the Big East.  One week pull off a huge upset, then only to come back the next week and get slaughtered by an average team.

unless usf follows it up with a bowl win of course it will be considered a fluke

next year is a different team so usf has the bowl game to prove wv was real deal
