I grew up a Michigan fan, maize and blue blood, so this is a very sad day for me.  For my generation, he is the face of Michigan football.  He is a legend and will be sorely missed by the U of M family.

There was once a joke about a guy from Michigan who died and went to heaven... as he was being shown around, he saw the biggest, most beautiful, most ornate house in heaven... it was trimmed the maize and blue, with lots of Go Blue signs and a big M flag flying.

The Michigander turned to his tour guide and asked about the house?

Oh that, no. That's God's house.  He just thinks he's Bo Schembechler.

While my family are all Michigan State fans and/or alumni... I will keep the Schembechler family in my prayers.

Another legend, not only for his contribution in collegiate sports, but life as well, has left us. RIP Bo. You were definitely one of a kind!
