I'm a RMC supporter, but this team looked terrible tonight. I understand we've got a lot of guys out, but man, if they dont figure out how to play soon this could get ugly quick.

Richardson has got to be the softest player in the country. How many times did he get blocked/stripped tonight on the post or under the basket...not good at all.

This team could be in trouble offensivly. The only person they've got that's any kind of threat to shoot the ball is Buckley, and he's been known to go cold for months on end. I'm sorry, but Mattis isnt going to score 19 on a decent team by only dunking or laying the ball in most nights. He'd be a decent 6th man/defensive specialist, but he shouldnt be starting (not that i'm suggesting we have anyone who should start in front of him at the moment).

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of those guys when conference play starts, but the season very well could be lost by that point.

Kyle,  Mattis DID score fairly regularly on dunking and laying the ball in.  He was our second leading scorer last year and top rebounder.  I'm fairly certain we played a more difficult schedule last year than we have on paper this year.

He might not be a shooter, but he finds ways to score despite his size.  I'm not worried about him.  I am about our 5 spot and I am about having both Bozeman and Capko on the floor at the same time.  I can see times what that may be good, like in breaking the press, and maybe that is what Mac was experimenting with.

There is no reason for anyone to panic now.  Sure, I can see how you can be nervous due to the outcome, but it was an exhibition.  Heck, we've lost private exhibitions to UCF before... it only matters what the team learns from it.  If come out and beat a tough Buffalo squad on opening night, that will show that they learned a great deal from this warm up.

a tough Buffalo squad?

Were they in the Tourney last year?

We are a BIG EAST SCHOOL. We better beat Buffalo.

if you all think flsportsfan is bad now, you should have heard him at the game.  during the introductions of the players he started talking smack about our team, he couldn't even wait until we had played a single game.  i was literally seconds away from punching him in his face.  worst fan ever.  he should be banned from the stadium.

banned from the stadium? you mean the dome? I said it was sick that Richardson and Capko were starting. It is sick. Those 2 wouldn't start at St Leo.

just a note:  when the rankings came out and they went through the BE teams talking about how they looked the Bulls where picked last in the BE and the comment was "mid-major team playing in a major conference"

Thanks for the report. I'll be sure not to watch any games this season, suspend all donations, return all tickets and call for a number of people to be fired now.

Actually, I have been thinking along the same lines for some time. But, now I'll say it. This probably is my last year. After 10 years of FB and 5 years of BB, donations in the thousands, tickets coming out my ears, travel, heartache and disapoinment (embarassment?) I've got better uses for my money and more importantly, my time, than to participate in mediocrity year after year.

I was there last night. I know it's early but, we just don't have what it takes to be competitive in BB.

In football, we are basically a one man offense (currently hobbled).

It figures... ::)

If you are talking smack about your own team before your own first exhibition game, you are not really a fan.  A real fan would be cheering for his own players during the intros.

What's a joke is that some are getting all riled up over an exhibition game.  I can't tell you how many times the Bucs went undefeated in the exhibition only to fall flat on their face in the season.

BTW, Buffalo was 19-13 last season, with wins over Detroit and Rutgers.

I'd say wait until after the first couple of non-conference games to start formulating opinions about our players and team in general.

1) An Exhib. game is not enough data to infer what the rest of the season will be like.

2) If First 2-3 games of non-conf play are similar to the St. Leo game, then there might be some reason for concern.

3) Comments about single players LIKE and DISLIKE based on one game is ridiculous.  People have bad days, so give them more time to develop and see if that changes your opinion of them.  I know I didn't like King Solomon at the start of the season, but he sure as heck blossomed into a star player!
