Hill. The coaching staff visited several schools to study their offenses to create that offense for Hill. MG is playing in a system that had to be put together in a short time to maximize his talents, therefore, next year, the staff will have more time to create an offense that suits MG and allow for MG himself to study his mistakes and become stronger. It is my opinion, that MG will have the best stats a Bulls QB has ever had at USF in the next three years. This year Bull fans have to remember with a freshman QB there are going to be some highs and some lows and that we just need to enjoy the ride, because its only going to get better. I watched a game that had bad breaks for USF. UC had a lot of good breaks with field position. The fumble that bounced right into Cincy's LBs chest gave him the easy score. I think most would accept the "growing pains" this year with MG as oppossed to continuing with PJ at QB and then having to experience this next year with a new QB. Furthermore, I would expect future teams to blitz like Cincy until MG burns them a few times. We are playing with a lot of FR and Sophs so I see a lot postives. We've had the same offense/offensive playcallying since the Marquel Blackwell days, it's just that they have finally found a QB that can fill Marquel's shoes. We have a system that does not adapt to the players' style playing in it, but rather it expects the players to step up and be what the system calls for. This, in my opinion, is our biggest problem. We just don't have coaches with the experience/knowledge to adjust certain aspects of a system to suit the players they have.

Guest JulmisteForPrez
I think very few of us who are not happy about the state of our season right now lay very much of that at the feet of Grothe. With a possible exception or two, we all realize how good he is for a freshman, and we all believe he'll get better with the years (as long as he is developed and coached properly). It's the other stuff such as O-line play, underachievement by our great corps of LB's, and playcalling on defense and on offense that has been annoying. The problems are largely due to coaching/playcalling, and poor play by both lines.

Dont you think the coaching staff may have knew all along that Grothe was gonna be the man and that they may have planned this system with HIM in mind, rather than C. Hill? Sure, they tell us that C. Hill was moved to WR last year "as a way to get him on the field", but dont you think they may have saw something that we didnt?I'm just sayin...
