FYI...Cinci has played 3 teams that were ranked in the Top 10 when the games have been played this year.

USF hasn't played one ranked opponent at all this season when the games have been played.

Cinci definitely looked more battle tested...but their poor QB play kept USF in the game.

Physically, Maybe.

I don't think tough scheduling has a lot to do with a team's success down teh road. Look at UNC, they'd given up on the season by the time we played them, and they still have Notre Dame.

I have criticized our schedule this year because I thought it was way too weak for a team trying to make its mark.

But I'm not really buying the, they beat us because they were better prepared through their schedule argument.

Rutgers is probably a better team than cincy and we almost beat rutgers.  I think the only thing their schedule did for them is have them in a worse position than us to make a bowl game, despite beating us.  

We just had a bad game.

Good point...forgot Rutgers just got into the Top 25 prior to that game.

I think there were a few factors. Cincy is/was the more desperate team, and it showed. The teams the played were also a reason, they hung tough with 3 top 10 teams, while USF had played 1 team in the top 50 all year.

To me, that was more of a sign of how good cincy is and not a reason they were a better team.  Seems like we could have played a lot better and it shouldnt have mattered that we didnt play better teams before.  Besides, we did, and that team is Rutgers.

We came out flat. Cincy had played some of the toughest competition in the nation, and new that if they could hang with them they could hang with USF. It showed. We dominated UNC, and figured the same would happen last night.

Just glad we got the choke game outa the way. Now we can move on and hopefully knock off one of Ptt/UL/WVU and hold off cuse.

usf's rinky ding schedule doesnt prepare them for adversarial situations against a competent opponent

usf doesnt seem mentally tough and that is why you need a tough schedule

a #130 SOS ranking doesnt prepare you for anything
