There have been posts about Mike and his "press pass" to be on the field ... Those that think that need to seriously consider the sacrifice Mike does to provide ALL these pics. He is a great fan and loves being in the stands. He has given that up to provide us with these pics. And I know MOST appreciate it, but some take it for granted. THANX MIKE ! MikeG Posted October 17, 2006 Group: Moderator Topic Count: 1,984 Content Count: 19,737 Reputation: 3,869 Days Won: 175 Joined: 07/17/2003 Author Share Posted October 17, 2006 thanks for the kind words folks. I like to think I try a little harder than other media types to get as many of the shots people find interesting and from more of a fan perspective. It helps not needing to look at a shot sheet or a roster to figure out who that was or what I find picture worthy. I need to upgrade my equipment. This camera is much nicer than the tiny Kodak handheld (lol) I started out with-- but a better lens and camera body is on my wish list. All in good time. I'll say this much-- I sometimes get a little embarassed having my name yelled out while I walk from place to place. Not that I want you to stop because it reminds me to get shots of our fans, board members, and other fun stuff.

That's why most people patrolling the sidelines with a camera are getting paid. It's funny, you actually miss some of the game since your so busy jockying for the right position, angle and shot.Mike does it for us - even road games. We ought to keep that in mind. The day he says "no mas" is the day some might understand what a great service he provides. Most major media won't get the fan, spirit squad and other shots Mike gets.We appreciate your work
