It seemed like KU converted EVERY third down. Just when it seemed USF had a shot at ending a KU drive, they always seemed to keep it alive somehow. As a result, the time of possession was way in favor of KU, which was a big factor in the ball game. The defense played well tonight, but when they needed to step up and end a drive, they couldn't do it.

Hence the time of possession for KU.

Crossing patterns and draws, unreal.  Have to get off the field on 3rd down to give the O more chances.

Actually the final conversion percentage was

Kansas 56%

USF       50%

Not as bad as one would think while watching the game.

Yes... But they had more 3rd down conversion opportunities than we had.

I know at one point they flashed a graphic that KU was 7 of 10 on third down.

18 to 14  not that many more.

Shows you how stats can fool you and be schewed with end of game drives.

This has been USF's Achilles heel all year.  It's seems like they are almost all third and longs too.

Tonight it was the story of the game in my opinion.  Amazing we didn't give up more points really.
