He was 4th on the team in special teams tackles. He was born in Ontario so he qualifies as a "non-import" player. He completed his college career with 93 catches for 1,083 yards and 7 touchdowns. The Yorktown, Virginia native attended the NFL Pittsburgh Steelers training camp as an undrafted free agent in 2003. Slade’s brother, Chris, has been an NFL linebacker since 1993, playing eight years with the New England Patriots and one season with the Carolina Panthers.Defensive tackle prospect, Greg Walls, is a product of the University of South Florida. The 6 foot, 288 pound Florida native is described as quick off the ball and a player whose motor runs on “high!†Walls completed his senior year at South Florida with 53 tackles, 5 quarterback sacks, one interception and a forced fumble. The Tiger-Cats also announced today that contract extensions have been inked by five veteran players. Included in the group are defensive end Joe Montford, quarterback Danny McManus, running back Troy Davis, slotback Archie Amerson and centre Carl Coulter.
