This morn Dan Sileo was giving WVU/BE zero respect.  I was so pissed I couldn't even call so I sent this email.

NOTE: Read with tone of anger and sarcasm.

The WVU schedule sux so they don't deserve squat huh?  How about some deep analysis

Dan?  The BE is 3-0 vs the ACC this season so far (Pitt over VA, Rutgers over UNC,

WVU over MD).  Aren't these three teams in the same conference as UM & FSU?

That's 25% of the teams of the ACC being beat by BE teams.  You bust WVU for

playing E. Washington, ECU & Marshall.  UM used to play ECU on a reg. basis

when they were in the BE and ECU is kinda of a traditional game for WVU.  The state

of WV forced WVU to play Marshall so there was no choice there.  Miss State is part

of the SEC that you say is so great.  Aren't they?  4 teams of the current BE

are highly competitive and ranked in the Top 25 or getting votes in any poll.  BTW,

so you know, Temple is no longer part of the BE which UM played yrly for a decade.

Basically what you are saying is 50% of WVU's schedule is the same as what UM's

use to be but that's awful now.  BTW, have you taken a look at UM nonconf. schedule,

FSU, FL A&M, Houston, & FIU...STFU about schedules.  FSU is played every

season.  The rest are awful/shameful.

You say WVU doesn't deserve thier ranking on what happened last season but who

does then...USC-new backfield '06, TX-lost heisman QB/new QB '06, Miami-ass

kick in the freaking Peach Bowl '05/same backfield in '06.  Stop Dan, every

ranked team early in the season gets rated in polls by how they finished the and

who remains from the previous season.  WVU throttles UGA in GA on national TV with

the same QB & RB that are currently in the WVU backfield but you wanna mention

a hurt UGA QB in the '05 Sugar Bowl.  How about the Louisville QB that was hurt

vs the ACC's No. 2 team VaTech, the team that ran over UM in '05?  Didn't

it take a comeback for VT to beat a a UL team using a No. 2 QB in the Gator Bowl?

No, its not the same or is it?  Why did Miami get ranked 12th to open the season?

By your reasoning they shouldn't or should teams be ranked on what they did

in the past?

So just stop it with that crap WVU doesn't deserve their ranking.  If they run

the table and there are 3 undefeateds at seasons end, the teams with the biggest

victories deserve to go to the BCS C'ship Bowl.  WVU will probably have 3 Top

25 wins vs UL, Pitt and Rutgers.  I have no problem if two undefeateds from the

SEC or USC jump WVU but I don't believe the top of 6 teams of the B10, B12 or

the ACC are clearly better than top 4 teams of the BE.

Now for some comparison, from top to bottom the 8 BE teams are everthing the 12

ACC teams are.  ACC's top team is the top 25% of The ACC (FSU, VT & UM)

& BE (WVU & UL) are equal.  BE top 25% is ranked 5 & 12.  We'll

use the Coach's Poll 'cuz what does the media know 'bout FB...right?.

ACC top 25% is 10, 14, & 15.  All teams are ranked in the Top 15 but the BE

average top 25% has a better avg than the ACCs.  The BE upper mid 25% are getting

votes in the polls, Rutger 23 & Pitt 20.  The ACC's teams are BC@ No. 25

w/147, Clemson 107, MD...MD was getting 8.  Obviously MD didn't belong.  Gonna

give the edge to ACC but think we can say "Any Given Saturday" for these

5 teams playing ea. other.  The bottom half of the BE is as good if not better than

any bottom half team of the ACC.  And for a bit of humor, the two worst teams, Syracuse

vs Duke is a toss up.  No, Syracuse didn't lose to a D1AA.  BE wins the "game

of the weak" too.

So UL isn't a big game for UM?  Is it a big game for the conferences?  The answer

is a definite YES but you don't wanna hear that huh?  Why 'cuz the UL Cards

aren't a traditional power?  F-U!  23 seasons ago UM was nada, zip, freakin'

a nothin'.  Then they had a decent run vs some above average teams and were

given a HOME game IN the Orange Bowl vs the No. 1 team, the NE Cornhuskers.  Did

If the Heisman Tropy winner for '83, Mike Rozier, doesn't nearly break his

ankle early in that game and Tom Osbourne doesn't give Schnellenberger's

Miami a gift by going for two instead of the tie and throwing instead of running

for the winning two point conversion, UM is still nothing.  They finish No. 2 or

even 3.  There is no '83 NC and recruiting doesn't escalate like it did

nor does JJ come to SoFlo.  At best UM's competitive team that maybe wins one

or two NCs.  So quit being a football hypocrit Dan.  Let the games settle who's

best.  But know this, if UL beats UM, the SoFlo King is dead and the BE has its

revenge.

well, they probably scheduled maryland years ago.  maryland competes with FSU every year and generally has a good team.

Nicely done Bulldoug.  While I don't agree on everything you wrote, I agree on alot of it.  Maryland was scheduled at least three or four years ago, when they were good, so its not to the fault of WV.

ACC is down this year.  Big East is up.  I hope the Cards whoop up on the Canes this weekend.

Go Bulls!
