I guess my  the point I was making on Miami that seems to be lost on some, had nothing to do with attendance.  It was to point out that losing by a blowout doesn't always mean that you have a long way to go as Miami lost their bowl game 40-3.  Next time I will spell it out more clearly.  I did re-read the article as you suggested and some of what you mentioned wasn't read, but read into by the reader.

Go Bulls

You're right about Miami losing to LSU,

But a team that is looking for that big win to show they might be equals, goes into their opponents building and is not only blown out but held to less than 150 on offense and gives up over 600 on defense is no where close to their opponent, sorry.

Im also sorry you didn't get all those points out of the article, without Bianchi coming out and saying this, this, this, and this...I came as close to summizing the article as I could.

Miami pretty much came up quick with Howard Snellenberger at the helm back in the early 80's. Of course he was sitting in a very nice football recruiting area. And the thing is that he did that while schools could offer more scholarships than they can today which should have made it harder to keep the kids from leaving the Miami area. Bianchi pretty much is a blow hard journalist that toots his horn about UF as much as he can. I wish they would have kept him up in Gainesville because Orlando deserved better.
